Jennifer Lopez admitted her husband Ben Affleck would raise his eyebrows over her racy outfit choices in an unearthed interview.

The singer, 55, and the actor, 51, are pushing ahead with divorce after a final attempt at reconciliation in recent weeks failed.

Sources told DailyMail.com the couple’s divorce documents ‘are finalised, but not yet turned in’.

And now an insight into their relationship has resurfaced with Jennifer revealing they would sometimes clash over her skimpy looks. 

The songstress boasts an enviable designer wardrobe and is not afraid to show off her incredible figure on the red carpet, often opting for plunging necklines and sheer designs.  

But she said during an interview of Live with Kelly and Mark last year Ben would tease about her skimpy outfits.

”He’ll joke with me sometimes… He’ll say things like, where’s the rest that shirt?’ ‘I’m like, ” Oh this one doesn’t have anything else”.’ 

J-Lo added: ‘He doesn’t come to the fittings or anything like that. If I’m getting dressed and we’re going to a red carpet or some big event I’m like, ‘What do you think? This one or this one? Do you like this or do you like this?’ Stuff like that’.

The news of her looming divorce follows Ben buying a new $20.5 million ‘bachelor pad’ mansion in the Pacific Palisades on Wednesday, July 24, the day Jennifer turned 55.

Friends of J-Lo claimed Ben’s sudden bachelor pad purchase on her birthday had been a ‘stab to the heart’.

His purchase came days after the couple listed their Beverly Hills mansion for $68 million.

July 24 also marked the day J-Lo also finalized the sale of her four-bedroom New York City penthouse for $23 million, People reported.

‘They finalized the divorce papers with her a month ago, but are waiting for the right time to drop them,’ one source close to the duo claimed.

‘At that time, they will release a joint statement that will say how they have much love for each other and how they fought to make it work, but couldn’t.

‘Honestly, in the end they could not come to a compromise. What they had before is gone and they have both accepted it,’ another source claimed.

DailyMail.com contacted representatives for Ben and Jennifer for comment at the time.

The pair were last pictured together on March 30. They have since spent the summer apart; Jennifer largely on the east coast while Ben remains at home in Los Angeles.

They even spent their second wedding anniversary on July 16th in different cities.

Reports of Ben and Jennifer’s marital woes began circulating in May when a sources close to the couple reported Ben had moved into a $100,000 rental and the couple intended to sell their ‘dream home’.

Ben’s home was just a short drive from ex-wife Jennifer Garner’s Brentwood house.

The couple were married from 2005 to 2018, and share children Violet, 18, Fin, 15, and Samuel, 12.

Reports of their marital woes began circulating in May after the pair hadn’t been seen together since late March.

A source told In Touch at the time: ‘Ben already moved out and they’ll likely have to sell the dream house they spent two years searching for.

‘They’ll never stop loving each other, but she can’t control him, and he can’t change her. There’s no way it could have lasted.’

Lopez is believed to be staying in New York City, after recently celebrating her birthday on July 24th in the Hamptons.

The couple also spent the Fourth of July weekend apart.

They tied the knot at A Little White Wedding Chapel in Las Vegas on July 16, 2022. They said ‘I do’ again in a more lavish ceremony the following month in Georgia of 2022.

After her Bridgerton-themed party, Jennifer thanked her 251 million Instagram follower for their messages with a cryptic post.

She admitted to being ‘fragile’ and declared her fans as her ‘biggest gift.’
