The royal family drama continues.
Prince Harry and Meghan Markle are reportedly drifting apart from his cousins, Princess Beatrice and Princess Eugenie.
“Beatrice and Eugenie have firmly pledged their allegiance to the Royal Family,” a source claimed to the Express in an article published Saturday.
“They haven’t communicated with the Sussexes for quite a while now,” the insider added about Harry’s cousins. “They are nowhere near as close as they once were.”
Harry, 39, and Meghan, 42, stayed close with Beatrice, 35, and Eugenie, 34, after they abandoned the royal family and moved to California in 2020.
Last year, People reported that the foursome “talk constantly” despite the Sussexes’ heated feud with the Firm.
“This whole drama between him and Meghan and the rift with the rest of the family has been really stressful for the girls. It’s hard to watch because they see both sides of it,” a source told the publication last August.
However, the Express insider claims that the relationships between the cousins have changed.
They claimed Eugenie and her husband, Jack Brooksbank, “are very careful about what they say to friends because they don’t want to be seen as bad-mouthing Harry or Meghan.”
The source also alleged that “there’s still a friendship there but it’s not like the close family bond they had before Harry moved to America.”
The Post has reached to to reps for Harry and Meghan for comment.
Harry became estranged from his immediate family members, including his father King Charles, brother Prince William and sister-in-law Kate Middleton, after he made his grand exit from the royal family.
When he returned to London for Charles’ coronation in May 2023, he stayed close to Prince Andrew’s daughters and their respective husbands.
Harry took his seat in the third row between Brooksbank, 38, and his late grandmother Queen Elizabeth II’s cousin, Princess Alexandra.
Eugenie was also the only figure from the royal family to make an appearance in his Netflix docuseries “Harry & Meghan.” She watched the 2022 Super Bowl with Harry, as well.
But Beatrice and Eugenie’s mother, Sarah Ferguson, appeared to shade Harry and Meghan — without naming names.
The Duchess of York told the Independent last year that royals “can’t have it both ways” when it comes to exiting the royal family.
“You can’t sit on the fence and keep one foot in and one foot out. You’re either in or out,” she said. “Don’t cry about not being invited to weddings. You chose to leave, now go and live it — and be it.”
In May, royal expert and author Tom Quinn claimed that William, 42, and Kate, 42, are “worried” about Harry and Meghan’s relationship with his cousins.
“They sense that Beatrice and Eugenie feel that, as virtual outcasts themselves, they have far more in common with Harry and Meghan than with any other part of the family,” Quinn said. “The situation is made worse by the fact that the senior royals’ main asset — Kate herself — is effectively out of action while she continues her treatment for cancer.”
William recently hung out with Beatrice and Eugenie and their husbands at Royal Ascot.
