While Angelina Jolie claims Brad Pitt is “draining her financially”, the Daily Mail revealed that since their relationship ended, the actress’s fortunes have skyrocketed. 

A Daily Mail investigation found that Jolie’s relationship with Pitt helped enrich her by nearly $100 million.

That money comes from child support costs, gifts and tens of millions of dollars she earned from selling a 50% stake in the property at the center of the dispute.

The couple’s French chateau includes a winery located on a 48-hectare plot of land and a vineyard worth $60 million when they bought it in 2008. 

Now, thanks to Brad Pitt’s efforts and investment in the company, business, it is now worth a staggering $164 million.

Jolie signed an 8-year lease for a 613 square meter area of land to use as a store to promote her fashion brand, Atelier Jolie.

In a new court document obtained by Daily Mail, it is written: “It is extremely painful for Jolie to have to defend herself against Pitt’s lawsuit. This is also another evidence of Pitt’s tireless efforts.” Pitt to control and drain her finances – especially Pitt’s false accusations.”

A source said: “Angie said Brad made her ‘bleed’ financially, but it seems like she wants her ex-husband to ‘bleed her dry’. Instead of destroying his ex-wife, Brad seems to have wholeheartedly supported Angie and help her financially, even though the ex-wife hates her very much.”

Brad Pitt initially sought to buy out Jolie’s shares to keep the winery “in the family”. But the agreement quickly collapsed amid fierce arguments between the two sides.

Pitt accused Jolie of violating their agreement by selling her 50% stake in Chateau Miraval to Russian oligarch Yuri Shefler in 2021 without his consent.

But friends of the star who won an Oscar through the movie Once Upon A Time in Hollywood stood up to defend Brad Pitt as a man who is always generous in his dealings with the actress.

As of 2018, Pitt has spent more than $1.3 million in child support annually, including the children’s therapy, as well as paying hundreds of thousands of dollars in sundry bills.

According to many sources, Brad Pitt has been consistent in paying these expenses for the past 7 years. During that time, it is believed he spent nearly $10 million in child support.

When the couple bought Chateau Miraval in 2008, Pitt held 60% of the wine and real estate business while Jolie held 40%.

Pitt has poured millions into real estate, expanding his business in an effort to increase sales by 300%. Soon, the real estate they bought for an estimated initial price of about $60 million was worth nearly $164 million.

At the time of the wedding, Jolie “stopped investing” according to previously filed court documents – something she denied. However, Pitt transferred 10% of his shares to his wife as a wedding gift in December 2013. By the time they got married in August 2014, they were 50/50 equal partners in the Chateau Miraval property.

In addition to this generous gift, Pitt also gave his wife a rare painting by Winston Churchill – Tower of the Koutoubia Mosque. Jolie sold the work in March 2021 for $11.5 million.

Brad Pitt also loaned her $8 million to buy her current home in Los Angeles in 2018. Jolie bought property in Los Feliz, which was once Cecil B. DeMille’s home, for $24.5 million and has since claimed that the $8 million from her ex-husband was an interest-bearing loan with a specific repayment plan. She told Vogue magazine that she chose this land because she wanted her children to be closer to their father who lives just 5 minutes away.

As the battle to sell the winery gets underway, Pitt has scored a number of legal victories in recent months, including a key ruling giving him control of Chateau Miraval’s vineyards pending next hearing.

Just last month, Brad Pitt scored another victory when the Los Angeles Superior Court dismissed Jolie’s claim that his lawsuit was “frivolous, malicious.”
