Beyoncé, Jay-Z, and Blue Ivy Carter made a glamorous family appearance at the rapper’s Shawn Carter Foundation gala.
On Friday night, the Carters stepped out in New York for the black tie gala, which celebrated the 20th anniversary of the foundation which Jay-Z and his mother, Gloria Carter,
founded in 2003 to provide scholarships and educational support for more for youth and families from disenfranchised communities. For the star-studded evening, both Beyoncé and Blue looked lovely in rare evening ensembles.
The “Cuff It” singer channeled both Old Hollywood and ’80s glamour with her custom Valdrin Sahiti gown, which was comprised of a curve-hugging black silhouette, a hip-high slit,
and a sculptural bodice made of oversized swirls of ruffled silver fabric, which formed a plunging neckline at the middle of the torso.
The star wore her hair in a whimsical top knot with curly face-framing tendrils, and completed the look with black opera gloves, strappy platform heels by Santoni,
an array of diamond jewelry including earrings and a necklace, and futuristic triangular sunglasses with diamond-adorned frames.
In addition to sharing a series of outfit pics and some selfies taken inside the venue, Bey also shared a video montage, jumping on the popular “My Husband” trend on Tik Tok.
She timed the viral audio clip—in which the singer says, “I am on to see my husband. I’m happy, I’m happy, to see my husband”—to show photos of a tuxedo-clad Jay-Z at the end of each phrase.
