On March 20, former football star David Beckham was present at the stadium to watch his second son Romeo play for Brentford B
when the team entered the quarter-finals of the London Senior Cup. David appeared in a long coat, jeans and white shoes.
Unfortunately, the father of four had an unpleasant experience in the recent match.
Romeo had to sit on the bench for most of the time and was only brought on the field from the 73rd minute.
Meanwhile, his team was disappointingly defeated by amateur opponent Hendon FC with a final score of 1-3.
Romeo did not contribute much on the field. In fact, the player born in 2002 was even teased by a few spectators in the stadium with the song: ‘Romeo Beckham, it’s all your fault’.
This probably made David unhappy. When Brentford B lost the third goal at the end of the match, David stood up and left.
Of David’s children, only Romeo followed in his father’s footsteps. In 2021, the midfielder was signed by Inter Miami – the team owned by David. Romeo played 21 matches for the B team and scored 2 goals.
Earlier this year, Romeo was loaned to Brentford’s B team to study. However, Romeo has not left his mark yet. Having passed the age of 20 but still only playing for the reserve teams, Romeo is predicted to have a hard time reaching the level of a star.
