Tommy Fury appeared to be regretting his latest life decision as he undertook a new challenge just days after his five year relationship with Molly-Mae Hague came to a crashing end
Newly single Tommy Fury has been despairing over the state of his life as ex fiancée Molly-Mae Hague launches her new business online.
The 25-year-old boxer runs a YouTube channel when he is not busy taking on champion fights or appearing on TV shows.
But the former Love Island contestant admitted he met his biggest match ever this month as he went toe to toe with an extra spicy chicken wing.
Taking to his YouTube channel, Tommy revealed he was undertaking a challenge to eat the hottest chicken wings in Manchester.
He admitted that he can’t handle spicy food well – and also became alarmed when he had to sign a document that said it would be his own fault if he ate the chicken wing and then died.
Looking alarmed over the challenge he set himself, the reality star said: “I’m more nervous to eat a chicken wing than I am to fight in front of 30,000 people. What has my life come to? I’m a guy who can’t handle spice and I really don’t know how this is going to go down.”
He began his video by saying: “I’m gonna try the hottest wings in Manchester. They’re actually called the Death wings, and they’re at a place called The Shack, I believe, in Manchester. So we’re on the way there now. And just to put out there on how much I don’t like spice, I go to Nandos and I get Perry tamer. And sometimes the perry sauce is a little bit hot for me on some days. So that’s what we’re dealing with.”
Footage then showed Tommy being briefed by a member of the waiting staff who warned that there was a possible risk of death. An alarmed Tommy asked: “Excuse me, just to clarify, who’s ever died? Sure, has anybody ever gone to the Warren infirmary?”
He was then handed a waiver form which he signed to agree to take part in the eating challenge. Addressing the camera, he said: “So guys, basically I have to sign a waiver that says, ‘It’s okay if central, loss of life happens’, and basically they’re not liable for anything.”
He continued: “I could throw right down on the floor off a chicken wing right now, but it wouldn’t be there fault. It’s not a very smart move, is it?”
Warned that the spice on the chicken if more powerful than the components found in pepper spray, the reality star goes ahead to bite into a wing, and almost immediately begins coughing, wheezing and his eyes fill with tears. Tommy tries to keep the wings down and resorts to downing classes of water and drinking milk straight from a bottle to try to counteract the spice flavours.
Asked how many wings he thought he would be able to eat before admitting defeat, he revealed he thought he could tolerate three, but instead barely ate one.
Meanwhile, former flame Molly-Mae – who he dated for five years, but broke up with last month – has launched her new fashion line. She has called it Maebe and reports have suggested she could boost her own income with the brand – which could see her earn millions more.
