New photos show Woods, accompanied by girlfriend Erica Herman, making his way into an L.A. airport on crutches.
He sported a black surgical compression sleeve on his right leg, on which he underwent multiple surgeries in February for open fractures to both his tibia and fibula bones as a result of the crash.
Woods previously wore a tall boot on his right leg.
It’s unclear why Woods was in L.A., though it’s not unusual for the golfer to be spending time in California, where he conducts business and other work ventures.
Before his trip back to L.A., Woods had been recovering at his home in Jupiter Island, Florida.
Woods, who recently turned down a TV role at this week’s U.S. Open at Torrey Pines in San Diego, is keeping busy with his rehab and recovery — despite the looming mystery around when and if he’ll return to golf. He declined to comment when Golf Digest asked about his playing future in his first interview since the crash in May.
“My physical therapy has been keeping me busy. I do my routines every day and am focused on my No. 1 goal right now: walking on my own,” he told the outlet, noting that this specific rehab process is “more painful than anything I have ever experienced.”
