Tiger had an accident because he received news that his mother and Elin’s mother were fighting at the villa in Florida, really?

Tiger Woods’ mother and his mother-in-law may have been at his luxury Florida home at the time of his car crash, it emerged today.

Neighbours of the superstar golfer told police that both women came from his house after he slammed into a fire hydrant and then a tree early last Friday.

Their presence was revealed in an audio recording of an interview the Florida Highway Patrol with the star’s neighbours Jarius Adam, who called 911, and his sister, Kimberly Harris.

Harris told troopers that both women were at the scene and a voice that strongly resembles Woods’ mother Tida is heard in the background during the 911 call saying loudly ‘What happened?’.

In the interview, a trooper asked Harris about the women and if they talked to anyone at the scene.

‘The cops came, the Windermere cops came first, then the security guards came,’ Harris said. ‘And then it appears Mr. Woods’ mom, and Tiger’s wife’s mom came out after the fact.

‘I don’t know if they heard the commotion, I don’t know if she, his wife, left and came back. But they walked across the grass and were outside as well.’

Woods is extremely close to his mother and she is said to be the only person he has confided in since his personal life started to unravel last week.

A spokesman for Elin’s mother Barbro Holmberg said she did not know if she had been in Florida. ‘I have not been informed about that. She was here again working on Monday again anyway,’ he said.

The new details about the aftermath of the crash were revealed after Woods was accused of negotiating a million-dollar payoff to silence a woman named as one of his three alleged mistresses.

New York club promoter Rachel Uchitel dramatically cancelled a planned press conference in Los Angeles yesterday.

The 34-year-old has adamantly denied an affair with Woods although reports suggested she was considering revealing details of her alleged month-long fling.

But, according to U.S. media stories, Woods and Miss Uchitel were in touch with each other as recently as Wednesday night.

The golfer was said to be desperate to keep Miss Uchitel from exacerbating the public relations nightmare that has developed since his early morning car crash a week ago.

Miss Uchitel was named as Woods’ mistress in U.S. tabloid the National Enquirer last week, days before the accident.

She flew to L.A. and hired celebrity lawyer Gloria Allred as speculation about the married golfer developed into a frenzy.

Miss Uchitel then denied the affair but yesterday it was announced she would hold a press conference in L.A. and make a statement about their ‘relationship’.

Hours before the appearance, the conference was dramatically cancelled.

U.S. media reported that there was a last-minute flurry of calls between Woods’s representatives and Miss Uchitel’s lawyer, Gloria Allred.

Miss Allred refused to comment on the ‘unforeseen circumstances’ behind the sudden change of plan.

But one source allegedly told the New York Post’s website that a $1million (£600,000) sum was being discussed as a possible inducement for Miss Uchitel to keep quiet.

She is said to have saved ‘hundreds’ of text messages that Tiger Woods supposedly sent to her during their alleged five-month relationship.

Many of the messages were of a ‘highly sexual nature,’ claims the RadarOnline website.

However, the well-connected website TMZ today cited a ‘well-connected source’ who insisted Miss Uchitel had not been paid for her silence and had just decided to lie low.

Revelations about her alleged affair with the shamed golfer were followed by claims that Woods cheated on his wife with at least two other women, cocktail waitress Jaimee Grubbs, 24, and Las Vegas club executive Kalika Moquin, 27.

The golfer, 33, apologised to his family and supporters in a statement on his website on Wednesday, admitting to ‘personal sins’ and letting down his wife, Elin, and their two children.

He and Elin, 29, a former Swedish model, reportedly started ‘intensive marriage counselling’ after he admitted his ‘transgressions’ and issued the extraordinary public apology.

The Chicago Sun-Times claimed that the golfer has already agreed to pay his wife ‘a hefty seven-figure amount’ not to walk out of their marriage.

The figure is said to be $5million (£3million) and is allegedly being paid immediately into her separate bank account.

Woods is also said to be renegotiating the pre-nuptial agreement the couple signed before their marriage in Barbados five years ago.

Elin allegedly signed a pre-nup when they married in 2004 which agreed she would get £20million (£12million) after 10 years of marriage.

This has now been raised to $75million (£45million) and the time period cut to seven years, according to the U.S. website The Daily Beast.

It is thought the deal would also see Elin sign a confidentiality agreement, which would stop her from ever telling her story.

She and Woods married at the luxury Sandy Lane resort in Barbados in October 2004 after first meeting at The Open in 2001. They now have two young children together, Sam and Charlie.

Miss Grubbs came forward earlier this week to say she had a 31-month affair with the married sports star.

She told her story to U.S. Weekly after reading in the National Enquirer claims that Woods had a secret tryst with Miss Uchitel in Australia last month.

‘To see that he was inviting another girl to Australia, it hurts. I’m still bitter about it,’ she said.

Last night a friend of Miss Grubbs claimed she had said that Woods was ‘horrible in bed’. Krista Grubb told The Sun the cocktail waitress ‘wasn’t nice’ about him.

Meanwhile, speculation grew that still more women were likely to come forward with claims they had flings with the golfer.

It was also disclosed that two women, a blonde and a brunette, who both work at a Las Vegas bar where Woods is a regular guest, have accused him of conducting on-off affairs.

TMZ claimed Woods and his wife were arguing over the golfer’s alleged relationship with Miss Uchitel just before he crashed his Cadillac Escalade into a water hydrant and a tree outside his Florida mansion.

The site quotes sources as saying that Woods and Miss Uchitel were texting each other less than an hour before the accident early last Friday.

Woods’ wife asked him who he was texting in the early hours of the morning and grabbed the phone and called ‘the other woman’ to confront her.

In the ensuing melee, the phone is said to have broken.

TMZ said the resulting damage in the vestibule of the family home was one reason why Woods refused to allow police in the following day.

Last night the website also claimed Woods asked childhood friend Byron Bell, president of Tiger Woods Design, to arrange Miss Uchitel’s flight to Australia.

‘Elin should use a driver on him next time,’ says matchmaker

The professional golfer who introduced Tiger Woods to his Swedish wife said he feels bad for bringing the couple together.

‘I would probably have to apologise to her and hope she uses a driver next time instead of a three iron,’ said Jesper Parnevik.

The veteran Swedish golfer was referring to claims that Woods’s wife, Elin Nordegren, chased after her husband with one of his clubs after a bust-up over his alleged cheating.

This incident is said to have led to the crash outside his home just under a week ago.

Most of Woods’s fellow golfers have been supportive of the world number one. But Parnevik, 44, didn’t hold back when he was asked about the scandal. Miss Nordegren, now 29, worked as a nanny for his family at the time he introduced her to Woods.

‘I am kind of filled with sorrow for Elin since me and my wife are at fault for hooking her up with him and we probably thought he was a better guy than he is,’ Parnevik told the Golf Channel.

‘It’s a private thing, of course. But when you are the guy he is, the world’s best athlete, you should think more before you do stuff – and maybe not “Just do it”, like Nike says,’ he added.
