Alison Hammond’s boyfriend’s mum has urged for him to leave the presenter.
The This Morning star, 49, recently went public with Russian masseuse David Putman, who is 23 years her junior. But while the mum-of-one is head over heels in love, it appears not everybody approves. The romance has certainly raised eyebrows, leaving Alison and David baffled by the response.
Earlier this month, the pair made their red carpet debut alongside Alison’s son, Aidan as they attended a glitzy celebrity bash. While some claim Alison is hurt by some of the backlash she has received, it’ll be David’s mum’s comments which will be the most scathing. David’s mum Olga is said to have urged him to ditch Alison in favour of “a nice Russian girl.”
A source told Heat magazine: “She thinks Alison is way too old for David and doesn’t like all the attention her TV fame has brought to her son. She’s uncomfortable that her son is with someone who has so much more financial power than him. Olga’s traditional values don’t sit well with their relationship. She’s told him in no uncertain terms that he must end it..” However, David is reportedly “unfazed” by the comments made by his mum.

While some disapprove of the relationship, Alison’s 19-year-old son Aidan from her marriage to Noureddine Boufaied has offered his seal of approval. Speaking to Rob Beckett and Josh Widdicombe on the Parenting Hell podcast: “The person who I am seeing at the moment, he is on his Instagram. And is like: ‘Yeah I like him, he’s not too in your face.’ Aidan is on it.
“When they actually met, [Aidan] really liked him, he really thought he was lovely, so that’s nice. Thank goodness for that! Because normally Aidan hates anybody I date, literally just not interested.” However, Alison is confident that she isn’t making a mistake with David.

Heat’s source went on to add: “Alison is confident she’s not making a big massive mistake or that she’ll make a fool of herself and luckily she’s got good friends she can lean on for support.” Alison recently shut down speculation that she and David had been split after they were surrounded by speculation.
Trying to get to the bottom of things without being too intrusive, fans asked Alison in a social media Q&A, a number of questions, but the star remained tight-lipped. One person asked her if she was happy and she shyly replied: “Happiness comes from within.”
