Teresa Giudice clarified the status of her marriage with husband Luis ‘Louie’ Ruelas amidst rumors of trouble and accusations from her cast members about his spending habits.
At BELLA Insider’s Summer Festival, Real Housewives of New Jersey star Teresa Giudice, approaching her second wedding anniversary next month, shared that her marriage is thriving.
When asked if filming with Louie, 49, made their marriage stronger, she replied, ‘Oh, definitely. Have you been watching the show? Poor guy! I mean, what they put him through. Like, all the lies.’
The RHONJ cast who are on the other so-called team have claimed that Louie hired private investigator Bo Dietl to dig up dirt to use against them – something the father-of-two has since denied.
Teresa, 52, has stood by her man through thick and thin, even if it meant becoming estranged from her brother Joe Gorga and sister-in-law Melissa Gorga.
She told DailyMail.com that ‘it means the world’ to her that her husband has her back and supports her.
‘He’s the best husband. He really is. And I’m lucky to have him because not too many men would deal with the crap that he dealt with.’
In a recently released promo for season 14, it has been revealed that there are only three episodes left to air before the much-anticipated finale on August 4.
As previously teased, the final episode will feature another explosive fight between Danielle Cabral and Jennifer Aydin leading to broken glass being scattered all over the floor of a New Jersey steakhouse where they filmed.
The cast was all present to film the last scene, including Teresa, Melissa, Danielle, Jennifer, Dolores Catania, Margaret Josephs, Rachel Fuda, Jackie Goldschneider and Jenn Fessler.
Without going into detail on what went down, the Housewives OG confessed, ‘I was pissed! I mean, you’ll see why. Yeah, I was pissed.’
She went on to explain, ‘I feel like there’s a lot of indication with us, you know, like they put all these – Margaret put lies out there. Rachel put lies out there. My family put lies out there. It all gets resolved. You’re going to see everything.’
This season’s reunion has been canceled since the finale answers a lot of questions, executive producer Andy Cohen previously said.
‘It is one of those classic Jersey finales that people will be talking about for a long time to come,’ he previously said on Radio Andy’s Reality Checked. ‘When all of us producers saw the last cut of the finale, we all came to the decision separately, and then we talked. We all had the same thought, which is the finale is kind of the finale and the reunion all in one.’
He added, ‘This final epic group encounter feels like the Last Supper and is just so Jersey. When you see it, I think that you’ll feel complete. I really do.’
In place of a pre-taped reunion will be an alternative reunion, which will reportedly take place on July 15. The cast will be sharing their reaction and provide commentary to the finale after watching it for the first time.
‘I’m fine with it. I mean, it’s not really a reunion. Whatever you want to call it – I don’t know what you want to call it,’ Teresa told DailyMail.com. ‘Whatever Bravo wants. It’s fine with me.’
After another stressful season, Teresa will get much-needed relaxation when she jets off to Europe later this summer. The mom-of-four and her husband will be celebrating their wedding anniversary on August 6.
‘We’re going away for our two-year anniversary. We’re going to go to Mykonos. We’re going to Ibiza and Turkey,’ she gushed.
Until then, the couple is making the press rounds. Teresa, accompanied by Louie and pal Jennifer Aydin, hosted BELLA Magazine’s party earlier this week to celebrate her cover of BELLA Insider’s Summer Issue.
‘It was their summer edition, and if anybody knows me, I love summer. I’m all about the sunshine and I love the warm weather,’ she said. ‘So, when they asked me [to do] the summer edition, I was so excited.’
The event, put together by editor-in-chief Vanessa Coppes and her team, took place at The Whitechapel Projects in Long Branch, NJ, and featured vendors such as Mrs. Momma Bear Workwear, The Secret Garden Spa, Lucid Dreams Floral Design, Hi Beautiful You and Heart of Oneness Wellness Boutique.
It comes several months after Teresa shut down rumors she was getting a divorce from Luis after she vacationed solo without her wedding ring.
Social media was buzzing with claims of marital woes between the two as she posted steamy bikini photos without her wedding ring back in February.
Teresa addressed the divorce rumors on a March episode of her Namaste B$tches podcast as she said: ‘I was like, “Are you serious?”… I know that we are attached at the hip.’
Teresa clarified that she was on a girl’s trip in Miami while Luis was on his own trip in California and that they are allowed to do their own thing.
She explained: ‘I guess it’s kind of good that people — you know, good stories, bad stories, whatever is out there, it’s a good thing.
‘If they keep talking about you, that means they are still interested in you. If you want to put lies out there, go right ahead. I don’t care.’
‘Louis and I are not getting divorced,’ she also stated near the end of the podcast.
The veteran reality star did admit that her husband is still used to getting used to the public scrutiny.
She said: ‘It’s not his world. I’ve been doing this now for a long time. And it takes a certain type of person to not let it affect — you can’t let it affect you.
‘Ignore, ignore, ignore, it’s the the best thing to do. In one ear and out the other. That’s the only way you can survive in this reality world.’
The couple tied the knot in a lavish wedding in East Brunswick, New Jersey back in front of 150 guests including Real Housewives stars Dorinda Medley, Ashley Darby, Margaret Josephs, and Kenya Moore.
The daughters Teresa shares with ex-husband Joe Giudice – Gia, Gabriella, Milania, and Audriana – were also at the nuptials, as were Ruelas’ two sons from a previous marriage.
