Stephen Curry has been in the public eye for so long that many avid NBA fans have watched him grow from humble beginnings into one of the best-known athletes on planet Earth.
Curry’s family has grown over the years, too — and in the case of oldest daughter Riley, the growth is more than figurative.
Fans and Golden State Warriors employees alike were stunned this week when Curry brought his daughter to work ahead of a game against the New Orleans Pelicans,
and everyone got to see just how she has blossomed from a child into a young woman.
The NBA world was first introduced to Riley Curry in a memorable press conference during the 2015 Western Conference Finals between the Warriors and the Houston Rockets.
At the time, Riley was just three years old, an adorable child who became the star of a postgame presser that she didn’t exactly want to be at.
But fast-forward nearly nine years, and that child has grown considerably.
As Stephen Curry walked into Chase Center for Friday night’s game — an eventual loss to the Pelicans — Riley tagged along at his side, now 12 years old and coming up to her father’s left shoulder in height.
Riley even helped her father during the pregame shootaround — normally a must-see event with Steph, who plunges deep into his bag of tricks to thrill fans and teammates alike as he warms up for a game. Steph scored a game-high 33 points in only 32 minutes on Friday, but New Orleans took the victory, 114-109, spoiling Riley’s appearance at Chase Center.
The Currys announced last month that Steph’s wife, Ayesha, is pregnant once more, and that they are expecting their fourth child together later this year — another sibling for Riley, Ryan, and Canon, all growing up together in a million-dollar home near Silicon Valley.
