Stephen Curry attempted to ‘steal’ Nike’s Caitlin Clark during a private pitch for the Curry brand

Caitlin Clark is the golden girl of the moment, the wave everyone wants to ride to secure a place in women’s basketball that sooner rather than later will have its relevance.

According to reports from Bleacher Report, Curry was involved in an offer that would have Clark sign with the Under Armour family and the Curry brand.

Caitlin Clark recently announced that she reached an agreement with Nike to be the official brand of her signature shoes for a multimillion-dollar amount,

which, according to reports, could reach up to $20 million.

But Curry had other plans. According to sources familiar with the matter, Curry and Clark met so Under Armour could present their vision for the shoes, similar to what happened with Michael Jordan and Nike in that iconic deal signed by his mother. In the end, Caitlin signed with Nike, and Steph couldn’t “pull Nike out of the deal.”
