A two-story penthouse condo once owned by Steph and Ayesha Curry has hit the market with a $1.7 million price tag.
The celebrity duo’s former unit in Oakland’s luxurious Ellington building – 222 Broadway, No. 1501 – is “one-of-a-kind,” according to listing agent Karen Gartz of Compass.
The three-bedroom, three-and-a-half-bath unit boasts three private balconies as part of its 2,084 square feet.
“The backside of the penthouse is essentially a glass wall, offering floor-to-ceiling views that span the entire bay,” Gartz said in a phone interview.
The Warriors superstar and his wife, an actor and cookbook author, purchased the property for $1.475 million in 2012, according to property records.
In the YouTube video “Stephen Curry Day in the Life: Bay Area,” viewers can take a peek at the Currys’ life in the apartment,
as they make food in the high-end kitchen and feed their then-baby daughter as the morning light floods through the enormous windows.
When Ruth Goran and Laurie Weinstein toured the home in 2014, they felt thrilled about the Curry connection and even snapped a photo of Steph’s rows of basketball shoes inside his closet. They purchased the home from the Currys for $1.5 million.

Gartz hired celebrity designer Cora Sue Anthony, host of HGTV’s “Real Estate Intervention,” to stage the home. Anthony leaned into the Warriors theme as well, using gold and blue accents as an homage to the team’s colors.
The penthouse crowns the Ellington building, where amenities include three designated parking spots, an EV charger, 24-hour concierge, a fully equipped fitness center and pool.
The location is just a short walk away from Jack London Square and the waterfront – as well as a 10-minute drive to the Warriors’ old home, now called the Oakland Arena. (It’s about 20 minutes without traffic to drive across the Bay Bridge to Curry’s new workplace, Chase Center in San Francisco.)
