According to sources, Eamonn Holmes has divided showbiz friends since his split from Ruth Langsford, despite their desire to keep the breakup amicable
Eamonn Holmes and Ruth Langsford’s split has caused a reported rift in the showbiz world, with factions aligning on both sides since they announced their separation in May.
Ruth is said to have been “blindsided” by her husband’s rumoured romance with relationship expert Katie Alexander.
A source told The Sun: “It emerged that Ruth, 64, had chosen to leave Eamonn, 64, after a string of mystery messages and told pals there was no way back” for the marriage.
And allegedly, her friends have accused Eamonn of complicating things for both of them.
A source said: “It is utterly absurd what is being said by Eamonn and his friends, but the sad reality is that the marriage split has caused a fissure among the showbiz community. It’s ‘Eamonn or Ruth’, and people are taking sides. The row is incredibly divisive and getting worse.”
Express.co.uk has contacted a representative of Eamonn and Ruth’s. The GB News presenter relocated to a new residence after separating from Ruth.
Due to his ongoing mobility issues, Eamonn is now believed to live in a “small flat near a roundabout”, from where he is driven to and from the GB News studios in Paddington, West London.
A source told The Daily Mail: “It’s all quite sad. He lived with Ruth in their lovely family home only a few months ago.
“They were having issues, but she took care of him, and he had some sense of normality.
“Now, he is alone in a flat, leading a fairly solitary life. The end of his marriage after such a long time has been something he has found hard to accept.”
Meanwhile, Ruth has turned to her Loose Women co-stars for comfort despite being away from the show and has been confiding in Coleen Nolan.
Since the split between Eamonn Holmes and Ruth Langsford, the showbiz world has been buzzing with rumors and alliances forming on both sides. Ruth was reportedly taken aback by Eamonn’s rumored relationship with Katie Alexander, leading her to make the decision to end their marriage.
Friends of Ruth have claimed that Eamonn’s actions have only made the situation more complicated for both of them. The divide between their supporters in the showbiz community has grown since news of their separation broke in May.
It seems that the split has taken a toll on Eamonn as well, as he has now moved to a small flat near a roundabout due to his mobility issues. This sudden change has left him leading a more solitary life, which has been difficult for him to come to terms with after living with Ruth in their family home just a few months ago.
On the other hand, Ruth has found solace in her Loose Women co-stars, particularly confiding in Coleen Nolan during this challenging time. Despite being away from the show, she has sought comfort and support from those around her.
