EXCLUSIVE: Anton Du Beke and Giovanni Pernice have recently finished a tour together and have co-hosted BBC shows in the past.
Anton Du Beke and Giovanni Pernice appear to have no further plans to work together despite recently just finishing a successful sold out tour together.
Both men are currently selling tickets for solo productions.
Giovanni’s show The Last Dance will begin in Hayes on January 20th next year and run until May 4 when it will end in the London Palladium. Anton meanwhile has three shows on offer at the moment.
Showman: An Evening With Anton Du Beke has dates listed from October 20 until November 21.
He then begins his Christmas with Anton and Friends show on November 24 which will run until December 23. Neither of these shows have Saturday performances to accomodate his judging duties on Strictly Come Dancing.
After a short break he will then tour his third show Anton Du Beke At the Musicals which begins on March 2 and ends on May 5. Prior to that, going by previous years, he will be out on tour with Strictly’s live shows.
Express.co.uk has contacted representatives for Anton Du Beke and Giovanni Pernice for comment.
This puts further professional distance between the pair, something Rochelle White from Rochelle White Communications feels is a conscious decision.
“I feel that Anton and his team have made a decision to step away from Giovanni, as from a brand reputation and PR perspective it would be for the best.
“Anton has an image that I feel he wants to protect and so it would make sense.
“Again, it’s not always a bad thing or a personal thing, sometimes it’s more about business and having success,” she speculated.
With such hectic touring schedules the earliest they could squeeze in another tour together would be next summer if they began rehearsals in May as they did this year.
However, it would be usual to announce some dates well in advance to ensure sales and many dates for the recent Together tour had been finalised by this time last year.
It has also been reported the BBC have scrapped their travelogue show. In May a source told Daily Star “Anton and Giovanni’s Adventures In… was a big success, but execs have decided to ditch it,”
“But Giovanni has now been told this won’t be happening and there will not be another series. It’s a blow for him as he’d hinted at a new series, but now he’s been informed that the project is dead in the water.”
