SABRINA Carpenter has seemingly laid into her pop star ex Shawn Mendes in a scathing attack on her new album.

The American singer released her record Short N’ Sweet today and it features a series of tracks which fans believe are digs at the Canadian heartthrob.

It includes the bombshell revelation that she appears to suggest he cheated on her with his ex-girlfriend Camila Cabello.

Shawn and Camila were together from 2019 to 2021 and then he was linked to the Espresso singer in February and March 2023.

But in April of that year he was seen at Coachella – which is held in Palm Springs, California – kissing Camila who he then dated again until June 2023.

On one pointed new song, Coincidence, she sings: “What a surprise, your phone just died.

“Your car drove itself from LA to her thighs.

“Palm Springs looks nice, but who’s by your side?

“Dammit she looks kinda like the girl you outgrew.

“At least that’s what you said. What a coincidence. Oh wow, you just broke up again.”

On a song called Dumb & Poetic, she delivers another brutal blow.

She sings: “You’re so dumb and poetic. It’s just what I fall for, I like the aesthetic

“Every self-help book, you’ve already read it. Cherry-pick lines like they’re words you invented.

“Gold star for highbrow manipulation, and ‘love everyone’ is your favourite quotation

“Try to come off like you’re soft and well-spoken, jack off to lyrics by Leonard Cohen.”

Shawn recently announced that his upcoming self-titled album will feature a cover of Leonard Cohen’s song Hallelujah.

Later on in the track, she continues: “I promise the mushrooms aren’t changing your life.

“Well, you crashed the car and abandoned the wreckage.

“F**k with my head like it’s some kind of fetish.”

At an intimate concert in London last week, Shawn revealed he had experimented with mushrooms.

As reported by The Sun, he said: “I simultaneously really do know who I am, but I also have no f***ing   clue. I’m just figuring that out.

“I was going through a lot and exploring things. I don’t know if anyone here has ever tried mushrooms but it’s a crazy thing.”

At another point on the record, which features her hit singles Please Please Please and Espresso, she opens up about her heartache over the situation.

She explains on Sharpest Tool: “We never talk it through, how you guilt tripped me to open up to you.

“Then you logged out, leaving me dumbfounded.

“We were going right then you took a left, left me with a lot of s**t to second guess.

“Guess I’ll waste another year on wondering if, if that was casual, then I’m an idiot.”

The shocking lyrics come just a week after it was revealed she had dumped her actor boyfriend Barry Keoghan, who she started dating at the beginning of the year.

She previously found herself at the centre of another love triangle when Olivia Rodrigo wrote Drivers License, believed to be about her boyfriend Joshua Bassett leaving her for Sabrina.
