Ruth Langsford has shared a message about “danger” while her ex husband Eamonn Holmes enjoys a holiday with his new girlfriend.
The former This Morning presenters, both 64, split earlier this year after two decades together.
They were married for 14 years, yet it all came crashing down in May when they announced their split.
Eamonn has since moved on with girlfriend Katie Alexander, 42, and are enjoying a late summer holiday together.
The new couple headed to Barcelona port as Eamonn was seen in a mobility scooter alongside glamourous Katie.
However, it has been claimed their luxury trip has left Eamonn’s ex Ruth and her friends “gobsmacked”. As Eamonn was seen away with Katie, Ruth was back in the UK and posting updates to her followers.
She kicked off her day with a cooked breakfast then later shared a snap of a hot chocolate. The decadent drink was sat along a packet of choco wafers and wafer rolls. Ruth simply stated: “Uh oh!!!” followed by huge red ‘danger’ sticker. Eamonn’s relationship with Katie was exposed after he left the family home as messages were found between him and another woman.
He moved out of the house he shared with Ruth and Katie was regularly seen visiting him. Speaking of their romantic holiday, a source told The Sun: “The cruise is just the latest proof of their closeness. Katie has been telling pals she and Eamonn are going to be for keeps — and now everyone is starting to believe her.”
They added: “Eamonn’s zest for her — the latest being this all-expenses-paid trip — has wowed Ruth and pals. He has found a new lease of life for sure. Everyone is amazed.” Eamonn and Katie first met in 2015 when her comment on a social media post generated a conversation between the pair.
There’s no suggestion of any overlap between the relationships, although it has been reported Eamonn and Ruth’s marriage came to an end after she was “devastated” to find messages from another woman on his laptop. Ruth, who is still wearing her wedding ring, recently proved she is keen to keep tabs on her ex husband.
In an Instagram post, Ruth admitted to keeping watch on the GB News presenter and his new romance. She uploaded a photo of her brunch, alongside a stack of newspapers. One of the frontpages featured a story about Eamonn and his new romance on the cover, with the headline reading: “I feel for TV Ruth.” Katie’s ex George admitted he has “a lot of sympathy for Ruth”.
An insider told Bella that Ruth is discovering updates about the pair through the press. A source said: “She’s posting subtle hints towards them. It’s her way of sticking two fingers up at them.” Ruth is said to want to “draw a line” under her marriage with Eamonn.
However, she was said to be ’embarrassed’ following false reports of an engagement between Katie and Eamonn.
After Katie was seen wearing a diamond ring on her wedding finger, rumours emerged, but sources later confirmed the claims to be untrue. Ruth was still said to have been upset by the situation, with a source claiming ‘there has been tears’. “Ruth has been trying her best to be respectful to Eamonn for the sake of both their families and especially Jack. She is still wearing her wedding ring and doesn’t feel right taking it off at the moment and she wanted to be as respectful as possible and does want to invite any more speculation about their situation,” a source told OK! Magazine.
