The divorce saga between Ruth Langsford and Eamonn Holmes continues to unfold with one burning question left unanswered – who gets custody of their dear dog, Maggie?
Ruth has been keeping fans up to date on Maggie’s current health status, although the absence of the 14 year old dog from Eamonn’s social media updates has fueled speculations.
Earlier this month, Ruth updated her followers about a medical procedure Maggie underwent for removing a growth and posted a video revealing the shaved part of her back post-operation.
She shared in the caption: “Maggie had a little wart removed this morning under sedation so she’s feeling a bit sorry for herself this afternoon! Lots of TLC from Mummy required.”
Taking to Instagram yesterday, 22 days later, Eamonn posted a heartfelt image of himself cosying up with Maggie. He wrote: “A lot of you wondering about Maggie. She’s had an op to remove a growth. All well. Not bad for a 14 year old ! In fact she’s in better shape than me.”, reports the Mirror.
Followers poured out appreciation for the update urging Eamonn to also care for his health, with commenters saying: “Maggie is beautiful Eamon but please do look after yourself also I hope your notability improves it’s hard to keep an Irish man down.”
Another fan responded: “Lovely pic Eamon and so pleased Maggie is well love her our fur babies are family hope you’re doing well too living in pain is awful so sending u lots of well wishes.”
Eamonn Holmes has recently shared his experience of using an anti-gravity machine in an effort to regain some mobility following a myriad of health issues. In a candid online video he is seen saying, “Trying to remember what it felt like to have legs that worked.”
Throughout the years, Eamonn has been open about his health struggles which involve mobility issues and continued pain. He has even been spotted making use of a wheelchair at events recently.
In his latest update, posted this week, Eamonn can be seen utilising an anti-gravity treadmill. Speaking directly to his followers, he explained: “Hello there. This is my latest exploit. This is what’s called an anti-gravity treadmill. It’s an Alter G anti-gravity treadmill.”
He went on to say: “And the reason it’s called anti-gravity is you’ll see down here … I’m being supported by quite a big balloon.”
He detailed the functionality by stating: “And the balloon holds my weight. What it does really, the machine, if I now walk or run in this, and it helps my legs and my body remember what it was like to move like this before things went wrong, that have been wrong for a long time.”
