Prince William may soon want to introduce his children Prince George, Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis to Africa, the head of a charity the Prince of Wales has been supporting for years has suggested.

Tusk Trust CEO Charlie Mayhew told PEOPLE: “I think it won’t be long before, you know, he will want to introduce them [Prince George, Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis] to Africa.”

Prince William may have the chance to do so in November, when he will travel to Cape Town in South Africa to host the fourth Earthshot Prize Awards.

Africa has held a special place in Prince William’s heart for years, and was also one of Princess Diana’s favourite places. The continent is so important to the Prince of Wales that he chose to propose to Princess Kate there in 2010.

At The Footprint of Life Gala, held in London, funds were raised towards supporting the cause.

The Royal Family has a long history of visiting the continent, with a total of over 30 trips to African countries since 1947.
