Katie Price is said to be keen to extend her Turkish holiday with boyfriend JJ Slater and son Harvey as she heals from her latest surgery while a warrant is out for her arrest
Katie Price is reportedly planning to extend her Turkish holiday despite a warrant being out for her arrest.
The former glamour model, 46, is currently sunning it up in Turkey with boyfriend JJ Slater and her son Harvey.
The mum-of-five was declared bankrupt for a second time in March this year but jetted off to undergo more cosmetic surgery.
She had been warned she could face jail time if she failed to attend a court hearing last week, but seemingly ignored the threats and flew to the country for the £10,000 procedure.
An arrest warrant was subsequently issued after she failed to appear at the hearing in which she was due to give evidence about her finances before a specialist bankruptcy court in London.
Now, it’s claimed the star is open to extending her stay in Turkey amid fears she will be arrested on her return. An insider told the Sun: “Katie’s actually extending her holiday and plans to stay in Turkey longer.
“She’s worried she’ll be arrested at the airport when she lands back in the UK and will have to go to jail before the metal staples are taken out of her face.”
The source also claimed Katie was worried about any arrest taking place in front of her disabled son and said such an incident would “upset her”. Katie was snapped at the £133-a-night five-star resort and sunbathing with a towel over her fresh work.
The insider went on to say she feels as though she’s better off recovering from her surgery in Turkey. The Mirror has contacted Katie’s representatives for comment.
Katie was declared bankrupt in November 2019 and for a second time in March this year. The mum-of-five was warned she faced arrest if she failed to attend the latest hearing. Insolvency and Companies Court Judge Catherine Burton said Katie had received “very clear warnings” that she must attend the hearing. A judge at a previous hearing warned the TV personality that she must provide substantial evidence explaining her absence if she didn’t attend the hearing.
After her latest no-show, she took to her Instagram Stories to tell fans: “I have to continue in my work in order to satisfy these bankruptcy orders which is all I am trying to do right now.” She has since continued to share clips from her vacation, including a video on Monday evening of Harvey dancing on a sun lounger.
