Angelina Jolie has traveled the world and experienced all kinds of cultures, and her taste in real estate proves her love for the finer things in life.
Jolie has owned and leased several homes throughout Los Angeles, Malibu, New Orleans, and even the south of France.
If you’ve ever heard the saying, “Mr. DeMille, I’m ready or my close-up,” you might know that Cecil DeMille was one of the most prestigious filmmakers in the early days of Hollywood.
It’s likely that Cecil B DeMille house hosted lavish parties full of Hollywood’s most elite stars – just imagine if walls could talk!
So, it’s only fitting that one of today’s most affluential A-list actresses would jump at the chance to purchase the Cecil B Demille estate.
Angelina Jolie purchased the charming Los Feliz mansion in 2017 for $24.5 million and we’re told though she travels quite often, it’s her primary residence.
The historic home was built in 1913 and boasts a staggering 11,000 square feet of living space in total. It’s set on 2.1 acres in the gated Laughlin Park community.
With 6 bedrooms and 10 bathrooms, this place is just as massive as you would imagine.
The Beaux-Arts mansion features breathtaking views of the city and ocean, but that’s just one of the many reasons to love this property.
The interior space of Angelina Jolie new house is something to marvel over.
The 7,500 square foot main house underwent a gradual six-year renovation process to preserve original style details while still incorporating modern amenities.
The overhaul may have taken years to complete, but the final product was well worth the wait. Delicate molding, wainscoting, and arched French doors all play a pivotal role in keeping the authentic Old Hollywood charm alive.
Intricate architecture and detailed designs are a theme throughout the home.
The grand foyer showcases a marvelous spiral staircase and dark hardwood floors while the dining room is paneled in grand mahogany wood. There’s also a fully remodeled kitchen with an updated center island.
Four fireplaces can be found throughout the estate and there’s also a regal library with floor to ceiling bookshelves that would make anyone want to brush up on some rainy day reading.
In addition to the main house, Angelina Jolie home has a separate pool house that’s equipped with its own gym, a teahouse and a guest house with a separate entrance.
The outdoor area is comprised of immaculate rose gardens, manicured greenery and a swimming pool with arched fountains on each side for the classic Old Hollywood effect.
Angelia Jolie home in Los Feliz is by far one of the most enchanting properties we’ve ever laid eyes on!
Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt are arguably two of the biggest stars on the planet, so this next lavish home that was purchased by the one-time power couple shouldn’t come as a surprise to anyone.
Where do you live when you are the most famous couple in the whole world, you ask? How about Chateau Miraval – a phenomenal chateau and vineyard located in the south of France.
The spectacular property lies the village of Correns, France. Angelina and Brad reportedly scouted the land via helicopter in 2008 and had leased it for three years before finalizing the purchase.
By 2011, the duo reportedly spent $67 million to buy the property. Chateau Miraval boasts a staggering 35 rooms in an estate that sits on an ancient Roman road.
The seventeenth-century chateau is like something out of a fairytale – with olive groves, fountains, a private lake, a helicopter pad, and a moat.
The 1,200-acre property even hosts an award-winning vineyard where the Chateau Miraval rosé wine is produced. What’s more, Angelina and Brad were also married in Chateau Miraval’s chapel in 2014.
If Chateau Miraval sounds too good to be true, it’s because it probably is.
While there’s nothing wrong with chateau and vineyard itself, it became a major point of contention between Angelina and Brad once they split up.
The couple went back and forth in court on what to do with the property, with Angelina arguing that she should keep the estate because it was her idea to purchase it in the first place.
Brad Pitt wasn’t letting go of this surreal retreat that easily, and as of December 2019 the former flames still co-own Chateau Miraval and continue to produce a line of wines on the vineyard (we’ll have more on that later).
