This Morning star Josie Gibson has landed a new presenting role away from the show.

The TV star has signed on to appear on Magic Radio this August, where she will oversee a BBQ Playlist show on Saturdays from 1-2pm (via On The Radio).

Josie will join the station this summer alongside a number of other famous faces, including McFly star Harry Judd, who will precede Josie on 1-2pm on Saturdays from July 6 with summer hits.

Also on board is I’m a Celebrity’s Giovanna Fletcher, who will present on Sunday mornings from 10am-12pm in July and Sunday afternoons 1-2pm in August with a summer playlist.

Additionally, music legend Nile Rodgers will present a special show on Sundays from 1-2pm in July as he plays many of his most well-known songs.

“I can’t wait to present my first show on Magic Radio and be the soundtrack to the listeners Saturday afternoons,” Harry said.

“Being a musician, radio has always been something I’ve loved but it has been really fun and different sitting on the other side. I hope everyone enjoys the songs I have chosen!”

Giovanna added: “I am really excited to be getting back behind the mic again at Magic Radio and I am looking forward to sharing some great summer songs with the listeners over July and August, as well as hopefully bringing out the sunshine for the summer holidays.”

Meanwhile, earlier this year Josie opened up about why she couldn’t replace former This Morning presenter Holly Willoughby on the show, admitting that living in Bath made things quite tricky.

“If I lived in London, I would have loved the job. But I don’t live in London. I live [in Bath], and this is where I am, and this where my family is this, where my life is,” she told the Daily Mail.

“So, and I, you know I will never get this time back… It’s a juggle. You’re working, mom, you know. The juggle’s real.”

Earlier this year, Josie opened up about why she couldn’t take on the role of replacing Holly Willoughby on This Morning, citing the challenges posed by living in Bath. Despite not being able to join the show, Josie is excited to embark on this new radio adventure and bring some music magic to the airwaves.
