The NBA great revealed that Riley has taken a keen interest in volleyball, and her passion and dedication are already reminiscent of her father’s own drive on the basketball court.
Having introduced his children to various sports, Curry shared that Riley has found her true passion in volleyball.
The youngster’s enthusiasm for the sport has been evident through her eagerness to attend practices and her constant dribbling and passing of the ball around the house.
“For the most part, I’ve introduced pretty much every sport to all of them,” Curry said. “But Riley, she’s super into volleyball right now, and a light bulb went off, actually this year, where she’s excited to go to practice and dribbling or passing the ball around the house and all that type of stuff.”
The Curry household is no stranger to sporting talent, with Stephen Curry’s wife, Ayesha, and their two other children, Ryan and Canon, all having their unique interests. However, it is Riley’s passion for volleyball that stands out at the moment.
While the younger children’s interests are still evolving, Curry is confident that they will find their own paths in due time. He looks forward to supporting and nurturing their passions just as he does with Riley’s volleyball pursuits.
It’s clear that Riley’s love for the sport has ignited a spark in Curry, who is excited to see her pursue her dreams. He expressed his delight in witnessing the same level of focus and determination in his daughter that he recognizes from his own career.
“To see that light bulb go off and that level of focus, that you see a little bit of yourself in,” he said, “And trying to encourage that as much as possible.
