According to Deadline, She’s in preliminary talks to star in a film based on the memoir Shoot Like A Girl
One Woman’s Dramatic Fight In Afghanistan and on the Home Front by Air Force Major Mary Jennings Hegar.
She was a rescue helicopter pilot who served three tours in Afghanistan.
In addition to saving our soldiers from dangerous areas, she was shot by the Taliban and still managed to rescue the men she’d been tasked with transporting in a near-death escape. Back home Mary also was a trailblazer in helping get women allowed to participate in direct combat after she sued the Defense Department and won!
