Cat Deeley sparks outrage by harshly telling co-host Ben Shephard “don’t annoy me” live on This Morning, leaving viewers questioning, “Who does she think she is?”

Ben Shephard was in high spirits when Cat Deeley reminded him not to ruffle her feathers.

The presenting duo were back on This Morning this Thursday, as they were firmly instructed to make no mention of the General Election, as Brits are taking time out of their day to vote. A total of 650 parliamentary constituencies in the House of Commons are being contested across the UK.

As their show drew to a close, Cat and Ben introduced another Coin Drop segment, a new game which was recently introduced to disappointed ITV viewers, and spoke to a viewer named David who was trying his luck at winning £20k.

But a minor disagreement was sparked when Ben Shephard pointed out a machine malfunction when the coin Cat was asked to drop stopped moving.

“So we have a little incident here, this occasionally happens on a show that I do”, the presenter said, in reference to his popular programme Tipping Point. “You never see it, of course, because we can edit it. This is live so I’m going to take this out and drop it again.”

Minutes later, however, the coin was stuck again, leaving him to add: “it’s your first time this week and you’ve already broken the board. Just pointing that out.

Awkwardness lingered in the air as David let out a short chuckle while Cat remained silent for a few seconds, looming over the Coin Drop board with a blank expression.

She then warned Ben off. “Rich, I can break other things too, you know”, she playfully threatened, leaving her co-star in stitches.

Thankfully for Cat, Ben and David, the blunder was quickly forgotten, allowing the individual to hang up with the staggering amount of £20k heading straight to his bank account.

A stunned Cat notably exclaimed: “We’re bankrupt”, when David learned he had won the grand prize, right after other viewers managed to earn their own five-figure prizes earlier this week.

But TV fans will have to wait before Coin Drop returns, particularly as This Morning, which is usually hosted by Alison Hammond and Dermot O’Leary on Fridays, has been scrapped from schedules to make way for the results of the General Election.

This comes after ITV fans believe they spotted proof Cat Deeley would be voting for the Labour Party this Thursday. The host took the reigns of the daytime programme sporting an elegant white dress featuring red roses – an attire she said she’d picked out for the sunny weather.

After the excitement of the Coin Drop game on This Morning, viewers were left on the edge of their seats as David tried his luck and walked away with £20k. Cat Deeley and Ben Shephard kept the energy high, despite a few technical difficulties with the game board.

As the show wrapped up, Cat Deeley couldn’t resist a playful warning to Ben about breaking things, keeping the banter light and entertaining for viewers. The chemistry between the presenting duo was evident as they navigated the live show with humor and grace.

While fans eagerly await the return of the Coin Drop game on This Morning, they will have to be patient as the show is set to be replaced on Friday by coverage of the General Election results. Cat Deeley’s rumored support for the Labour Party added an extra layer of intrigue to the day’s events.
