Starring alongside Ben Affleck in the 2003 film Daredevil, Garner portrayed the brilliant role of Elektra. The actress went on to reprise her role in her 2005 solo film Elektra. Although the movie received poor reviews, Garner made her name in Hollywood.
As her roles started getting bigger, so did the number of paparazzi standing outside her home. In an interview with Kelly Corrigan, Garner opened up about the struggles that she had with dealing with paparazzi.
Anywhere that we went, it was a total circus. My one daughter tried to play soccer, and it was such a zoo for the families that they just said, ‘can you please not,’
She further continued,
For 10 years there were at the very least six cars, and often 20, outside of our house, and outside of school and at the pediatrician’s, and you’re begging them, ‘Please step aside from the pediatrician’s door. I have a sick kid, please’
Starring in iconic roles throughout the years, Garner found her fame with the role of Elektra in the 2003 film Daredevil and the 2005 film Elektra. However, the films weren’t so easy to shoot.
From the weirdly made costume to chances of wardrobe malfunctions, Jennifer Garner was always on alert mode about her Elektra costume and how to shoot the scenes.

The actress portrayed the role of Elektra in 2003 and 2005 respectively. In an interview with Glamour, the 13 Going On 30 actress talked about how several padding were used to make Elektra’s bust more sizeable.
And I had so many chicken-cutlet fake b**bs in to make Elektra’s b**bs. I think there were three on each side of different sizes.
She further continued,
And everything was pushed up and out.(Further) I was just this close to a wardrobe malfunction at all times. There’s not enough tape in the world to make this stuff safe.
However, all that effort might not have been worth it for the movie as Elektra was considered a box office failure when it was released in 2005, 2 years after Ben Affleck’s Daredevil.
The film received a rating of 4.7/10 on IMDB and a record-low of 11% on Rotten Tomatoes. Jennifer Garner recently reprised her role of Elektra in the 2024 MCU film Deadpool & Wolverine which is currently screening in theaters around the world.
