RIHANNA sparked concerns for her wellbeing last night when she started crying on stage in Dublin after arriving 30 minutes late.
She was due to start at 8.45pm following opening sets from BIG SEAN and DJ MUSTARD but left fans waiting at the open-air Aviva Stadium until 9.15pm before appearing.
And when she eventually kicked off the show with ballad Stay she appeared upset.
Minutes later she started crying while singing her second track, Love the Way You Lie.
It was the opening night of the UK and Ireland leg of her Anti World Tour, which kicked off earlier this year in the US.
However after a brief moment of upset, she proved to be a true professional by picking herself up and rattling through tracks from her long-awaited eighth studio album, which she released earlier this year.
The record failed to click with the public and it was reflected in the amount of empty seats left in the 50,000 capacity stadium.
Thankfully her 24-track set was packed with greatest hits from her killer back catalogue which more than made up for the slower moments during her show.
After belting out breakthrough song Umbrella and a medley of Live Your Life, All of the Lights and Run This Town, she delivered a set highlight with Diamonds.
During the show, she told the crowd: “I only have ever in my life heard an audience of people scream so loud that they sound like one voice and that only happens in Ireland, in Dublin.
“Thank you so much.”
And despite squeezing so many songs into her 80-minute set, she managed to get three costume changes in too.
As she arrived on stage she was wearing what looked like an old bag but she still managed to make it work.
She’s proved before that she can make practically anything look good and this was no exception.
Later on she switched to a cleavage-boosting beige number before slipping into a shimmering jumpsuit, which she twerked in for Man Down and Work.
Despite her older songs proving to be the fan favourites, she stuck to her guns for the final few tracks.
Opting not to do an encore, she told the crowd: “I wanna do a few more songs from my Anti album. From my favourite joint,” ending on Love on the Brain and Kiss It Better.
She’ll be in London on Friday before heading around the rest of the UK.
Hopefully she’ll be feeling less teary by then.
