Fans of the series have questioned if the mother-of-two is ready to be thrown into the dating world, with others claiming Stephen’s comment was ‘uncalled for.’

‘Stephen’s comment to Lauryn was totally uncalled for. She’s trying to heal! His mouth needs washing out he’s a dirty old man,’ one viewer shared to X.

Others added: ‘She’s broken. Love or hate her, she shouldn’t be on TV, especially doing this’; ‘She’s still crying. Who deemed Lauren ok to appear on Celebs Go Dating?’

It’s not the first time Stephen’s remarks have landed him in trouble, as last week he came under fire for his ‘crude’ comments to two of his dates, and broke down in tears on Monday’s episode after receiving some harsh feedback.

He faced huge backlash after choosing 22-year-old footballer Ben for his first date, being branded ‘creepy’ and inappropriate’.

And he left Dean Muir, 39, less than impressed after he called him ‘boring’ to his face after he confirmed he wouldn’t have sex with someone after the first date.

Stephen also attempted more sexual banter, asking the driving instructor his preferences in the bedroom and whether he had ever had sex with his pupils in the back of his car.

He was then given feedback from his dates and Dean marked a it a brutal zero out of ten, slamming the TV star’s behaviour and saying he felt humiliated.

Dating expert Paul C. Brunson criticised Stephen, saying he had been ‘selfish, crude and closed minded’, and declaring: ‘You won’t be successful in life if you continue this way.’

The hairdresser then proceeded to break down in tears over the feedback, saying: ‘My head is all over the place, I just feel like my whole personality has been destroyed. I’ve come across as a pervert!’

But viewers watching at home were not sympathetic, saying he needed some ‘home truths’ and was exhibiting ‘crocodile tears’, while many arguing if he made the comments to a woman, he would be ‘rightly crucified’.

In her introduction Lauryn said: ‘I am probably best known for having a pretty crazy love life – people probably think that I am a homewrecker… and I go after peoples’ husbands… but that couldn’t be further from the truth.’

Visibly tearful, also confessed to the agents that she’s had a tough time having faced a torrent of criticism, as she insisted that Kyle was not with his wife when their children were conceived.

She said: ‘I’ve known Kyle since my early 20s, we were friends at the time – he’d always liked me. But I knew he had a girlfriend at the time.’

‘He kept everything very separate from her. It is 2019 and she’d kicked him out, he is not with her so I thought: “OK, why not?”‘

During a teaser clip of the reality dating show, Lauryn, also revealed to the agents how Kyle reacted to her pregnancy news.

She confessed that Kyle was shocked when he first found out she was pregnant because he had gone back to the mother of his children.

She revealed: ‘I think it was more shocked because he’d gone back then with his girlfriend and the mother of his children.’
