Kyle Walker has denied buying personalised football kits for the two young children he shares with Lauryn Goodman.
The Manchester City player, 34, and his wife Annie Kilner share Roman, 11, Riaan, seven, Reign, five, and five-month-old baby Rezon. He also has 13-month-old Kinara and, Kairo, four, after an affair with Lauryn.
He became embroiled in a paternity scandal and courtroom showdown when it emerged he had fathered two children with the model.
As England played in the Euro’s this summer, Lauryn dressed her son Kairo and daughter Kinara in full football kits, while the boys Kyle shares with Annie were also seen at the matches wearing his No. 2 shirt.
She previously claimed the footballer had purchased Kairo and Kinara the kits, but a source has now told MailOnline, he did not personalise the shirts, and instead Lauryn had them personalised herself.
They explained: ‘Kyle bought one plain kit for Kairo and then Lauryn went out and bought another for Kinara.
‘She had them both personalised with Daddy and his number herself. That aspect had nothing to do with Kyle.’
MailOnline has contacted Lauryn’s representative for comment. Lauryn took Kairo to see his dad Kyle play in Germany and received both praise and criticism for her decision.
The influencer attended England’s game against Denmark at Deutsche Bank Park stadium in Frankfurt, in June and was pictured carrying Kairo – who waved an England flag – in her arms as she arrived at the stadium.
While some social media users claimed Lauryn should have ‘stayed away’ from the game, others praised Lauryn for going.
Although Annie was present at every England match, she had apparently vowed ‘not to play happy families’ with her husband in Germany after Kyle admitted to fathering Kinara.
Annie sat with other WAGs to support her husband, while Lauryn sat in a separate stand with her grandfather.
‘I can’t tell you how excited he was,’ said Lauryn, in an exclusive interview with the Mail. ‘He was jumping up and down.’
She revealed to that her main motivation behind the Frankfurt trip was to keep a promise Kyle had made to their son in 2022 — when she was secretly pregnant with their second child — and he was playing at the Qatar World Cup.
‘Kyle told him on a FaceTime call that he would make sure he was at the next tournament because [Kyle] is getting older, and he knew there would perhaps not be any more opportunities.
‘There was no way I wasn’t going to take Kairo to the Euros,’ said Lauryn. ‘There was no way I was not going to uphold the promise that Kyle made to his son. This could have been his last chance so I wanted it to be something that Kairo could remember for ever.
‘We are not here to please other people. It’s about Kairo and what is best for him and what is going to make him happy.
‘I won’t be scapegoated or bullied and made to feel like a villain. My children are my number one priority and they always will be. Luckily I’m a strong woman and mother for them.’
The affair began when Lauryn met Kyle in 2019, when he was on a break from Annie.
Despite his infidelity and the birth of son Kairo, Kyle and Annie stayed together in Cheshire while Lauryn raised her son hundreds of miles away in Brighton.
Then, last December, it was revealed that the daughter Lauryn had given birth to last summer was also Kyle’s. Annie threw Kyle out of their family home in Prestbury, Cheshire, and he moved into in a nearby apartment.
However, after Annie gave birth to a fourth son in April, they have begun to mend their marriage, reportedly on the condition that Kyle cut off all contact with Lauryn and their children.
Meanwhile, Lauryn is bringing up her children up as a single mum at a £2.4million house in Hove, East Sussex, which Kyle bought for them as part of his maintenance commitments.
