Coleen Nolan, a Loose Women star, was taken aback by a risque revelation from her co-star during today’s live TV broadcast.
Ruth Langsford was hosting the ITV lunchtime show when she called for an ad break as their discussion about fantasies descended into chaos. The panel, which also included Janet Street-Porter and Brenda Edwards, were discussing fantasies and sexual interests when things got rather steamy, prompting Ruth to insist on a commercial break.
During a conversation about fantasies, Janet elaborated on an evening she spent with a man who had several fantasies he wanted to share with her. She then described how they set aside all the handcuffs and whips before enjoying a night together, much to the surprise of her colleague and fellow panellist Coleen.
However, it was her final remark that had the entire panel and audience laughing. Janet confessed: “We managed to enjoy ourselves without resorting to a lot of hardware…” with Ruth swiftly calling for a break in the programme, reports the Mirror.

Viewers tuning into the show were astounded by what they heard. One tweeted: “Jeezus Janet #loosewomen,” while another posted: “50 Shades of Janet #loosewomen.” A third wrote: “It’s the best show on telly did I just hear lol #loosewomen.”
Coleen has once again opened up about her sex life, recalling how she previously described it as ‘fabulous’. Last year, she candidly responded to a question about intimacy in later life, saying: “Yes, the answer is yes. It definitely does. If you’re with the right person, it’s the best thing ever. You get to a certain age, and people think you shouldn’t have sex anymore or are horrified that you still have sex.”
She reflected on her past years of solitude: “To be honest with you when I spent the last 4 or 5 years on my own. I never thought I’d have sex again. I missed the intimacy. But I think it’s because I had low self-esteem when it came to my own body.”
Coleen added: “That’s just too embarrassing being naked in front of somebody at this age. And then I did partake, and it was fabulous. Maybe also now, this is it, take it or leave it. I’ve clearly taken it and I feel in a much better place.”
The conversation shifted towards Coleen’s struggles with self-esteem, particularly due to her public profile and the impact of her last marriage. She admitted: “Being in the public eye and also my last marriage, I lost all of my self-esteem. I lost my sexy and attractiveness. I thought it all had gone and that I’d never get that again. But for me, it’s never too late, you’re never too old, and if you’re with the right person, it’s the best thing ever.”
