Kylian Mbappe’s lawyer asked the store owner to remove advertising content related to the PSG striker before taking the case to court.
Mohamed Henni, a social media personality with 1.8 million Instagram followers, opened a kebab shop in Marseille, France.
This person advertises Klub kebab as “a round pie like Mbappe’s head”.
On March 13, Delphine Verheyden, a lawyer on behalf of KMA, the company founded by Mbappe to handle sponsorship, business rights and image issues, sent a letter to Henni.
The letter asked Henni to remove Mbappe’s name from the menu within eight days, before going to court for using the player’s name for commercial purposes without consent.
Henni felt shocked by Mbappe’s actions. This person told followers on Instagram: “Is Mbappe shameless?
Does he have nothing else to do? Suing me for such a useless thing? Unbelievable. I can’t believe it.”
Dimitri Payet, the former France international, is also featured in an advertisement for another Henni cake: “A crepe with Payet’s quality.”
