How did Tiger Woods turn his private jet into a miniature society full of fun?

Tiger Woods and his U.S team flew to Melbourne for the Presidents’ Cup in true millionaire style – using a flashy 88-bed private jet that costs $55,000 an hour to hire.

At that rate, the 15-hour flight from the Bahamas to Melbourne would have cost the U.S. team captain and his team close to $1million.

Woods, a 15-time major winner and the biggest money earner in golf history, normally gets around the tour in his private Gulfstream G550 jet.

But for the extra long haul over the Pacific, Woods took luxury to the next level by using a converted Boeing 777-200LR called Crystal Skye.

The plane has been completely remodeled on the inside, with 88 first-class-style seats that turn into completely flat beds, The Australian reported.

The jet has been described as an ‘enclave of luxury’ allowing guests plenty of room to relax and spread out while on board.

Crystal Skye has the widest VIP cabin configuration in commercial service with every passenger having a window seat or an aisle seat.

When seats are set up to sleep they also have cashmere blankets, lumbar pillows and even mattress covers and a duvet.

Each passenger is gifted with their own flat screen Panasonic monitor that comes equipped with games, movies, TV shows, videos and music on demand.

The aircraft is also set up with complimentary WiFi, and mini monitors in each seat’s handset.

The Presidents’ Cup, which pits the U.S. team against the cream of the world’s other players, begins at Royal Melbourne on Thursday.

Seats are also set up with an individual phone that gives passengers the opportunity to make free, unlimited phone calls.

The plane boasts its very own ‘social lounge’ in the front part of the aircraft, with a cocktail area and bar, and a dining room that seats up to 24 people.

But money can’t buy everything – given the weight of carrying enough water, there are no showers on board.
