On Monday morning, Stephen Curry posted a video on his Instagram account that seemed similar in style to that of the Ice Bucket Challenge from a few years ago, only with more singing.
He and his wife Ayesha discussed donating to the Immigrants:
We Get the Job Done Coalition, which is partnering with Hamilton creator Lin-Manuel Miranda in this fundraising endeavor.
The video urged people to donate and challenged actors Olivia Munn and Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson to do the same
In addition to making a similar video singing their favorite song from the soundtrack of Miranda’s smash Broadway hit, Hamilton.
In the video, Ayesha proceeds to sing a section from “The Schuyler Sisters” and is later joined by Steph and Miranda himself.
Hamilton, for those who aren’t already familiar, is a musical that follows the lives and rivalry of Alexander Hamilton and Aaron Burr.
Their stories, and the story of the birth of our country, are told through a wide range of musical styles, including hip-hop, R&B as well as more traditional Broadway styles. Hamilton truly needs to be heard or seen to understand the widespread appeal it has had all over the world
