Soccer icon David Beckham has taken his love for high-performance cars to the next level by collaborating
with Maserati on the design of his own MC20 sports car, valued at approximately $280,000.
This special edition reflects Beckham’s personal style and passion for both the sport and luxury automobiles.
As a brand ambassador for Maserati, Beckham has been closely involved in the design process of his MC20,
utilizing the Maserati Fuoriserie program to customize the vehicles to his liking.
The result is a stunning sports car that combines Maserati’s renowned engineering with Beckham’s unique aesthetic preferences.
The car features a powerful twin-turbocharged 3-liter V6 engine that delivers over 620 horsepower, capable of propelling it to a top speed of 201 miles per hour and achieving 0 to 60 mph in just under three seconds. Beckham’s customization went beyond performance; he opted for a sleek black exterior with striking pink trim and pink brake calipers, which he described as his favorite during an interview with British GQ.
Beckham’s collaboration also resulted in a second MC20 located in London, finished in gunmetal grey. Despite his efforts, he humorously noted that his wife, Victoria Beckham, has been reluctant to drive the low-slung sports car.
The Maserati MC20 is celebrated as the “ultimate super sports car” by the Italian luxury car manufacturer, and Beckham’s involvement in its design only enhances its appeal. The soccer star’s cars are parked in Miami and London, reflecting his bicoastal lifestyle and providing him with the joy of driving a car tailored precisely to his tastes on both sides of the Atlantic.
This collaboration not only cements Beckham’s status as a style icon but also showcases the potential of personalized luxury cars in reflecting the personalities of their owners. Maserati’s Fuoriserie program offers clients like Beckham the opportunity to bring their automotive dreams to vivid life, ensuring each vehicle is as unique as its driver.
