Prince Harry is “an angry boy” in America, according to his close pal who claims he’s one of the few who’s received “the odd WhatsApp” message from him.
The Duke of Sussex, 39, has been living in the US for more than four years after he and his wife, Meghan Markle, turned their backs on royal life.
Now, it seems as though Harry’s friendships are slowly but surely dwindling, according to one of the prince’s former close pals.
“He’s an angry boy,” according to “one of Harry’s oldest friends” who spoke to the Sunday Times of London. “Things haven’t turned out how he wanted.
“I think he misses being over here [in Britain] desperately and wants to be admired more. Anyone who knows him feels he’d rather be top of the pops here with everyone loving him, as they do with [his older brother] William and Kate.”
Harry’s pal added that he’s one of the very few who still receives “the odd WhatsApp from him” from time to time.
The Post has reached out to Harry’s reps for comment.
Unsurprisingly, Harry’s circle began to rapidly shrink after he and the “Suits” alum, 43, packed up and moved across the pond in a bid to start anew.
Their move sparked several high-publicity projects such as their six-part Netflix documentary, their bombshell sit-down interview with Oprah Winfrey and Harry’s protocol-shattering memoir, “Spare.”
They have only returned to the UK a few times since.
Another one of Harry’s pals told the outlet that some of the royal’s former friends still can’t get over his decision to air dirty laundry about his time in the palace.
“I can’t believe he’d stoop so low,” said the pal. “It’s outrageously disloyal. Oprah, Netflix and then the book? Three strikes and you’re out.”
“Harry and [his wife] Meghan could have left with dignity and decency and not trash the institution,” another friend of William’s and Harry’s told the outlet. “The conclusion is they’ve made money from trashing his family.”
Indeed, Harry did just that in his Netflix docuseries “Harry & Meghan,” in which he admitted, “I miss my friends … I’ve lost a few friends in this process.”
Instead, Harry has embraced life in the US — so much so that earlier this year, he sensationally renounced his British residency and claimed America as his home in paperwork.
