HEARTWARMING: Tom Daley’s Post-Olympics Interview Crashed by Adorable Son Silver Medalist’s Emotional Reflection on Winning in Front of His Child!

Tom Daley’s post-Olympics interview was interrupted by his son in an adorable moment.

Tom and Noah Williams managed to secure an incredible silver medal at the Olympic Games in Paris today, when they took part in the men’s 10m synchronised platform final. 

Lian Junjie and Yang Hao from China won the crown, beating Tom, who came out of retirement for another shot at an Olympic medal, and Noah. 

Canada’s Rylan Wiens and Nathan Zsombor-Murray finished in third place.

After securing silver, Tom said, “It’s special. A year ago, I wasn’t sure I’d even make the team. Now, diving in Paris with my son, who asked me to return, is incredible.”

“It completes the set, I know have one of every colour. He’s six years old now and I think he might remember some of this! He’s been most excited about the fact there’s a bit of Eiffel Tower in the medal, so he’s very excited to get to touch a bit of the Eiffel Tower.”

Noah then explained how much it meant to win silver after the heartbreak of Tokyo. “From third last to second – my coach passed away after Tokyo. I can’t talk too much or I’ll cry, but no I’m happy, I’m happy,” he said with tears in his eyes.

Later in the interview, they were chatting about Tom’s return to diving when young Phoenix interrupted their chat. He said: “Once you’re an athlete, you know what you need to do, and you have to train smarter, you have to make sure you prioritise things in your life as well as in the pool. A happy athlete is an athlete that dives well – and I was getting emotional before the competition because that’s when I was at my happiest and they’ve got…”

He stopped speaking for a second and looked down when he noticed his son had thrown his juice cup on the floor. Explaining what happened behind the camera, he said: “Phoenix is trying to kill people by throwing his juice cup at people.” He gave his son a stern look whilst his diving partner Noah was in hysterics at what the young one had done.
