Stephen and Ayesha Curry sure are enjoying their time off, they just visited their local MLB team after getting invited to throw the first pitch.
The Oakland Athletics played against the Houston Astros on Wednesday and Steph agreed to do some drills as well.
Manager Mark Kotsay joked about Stephen Curry’s tardiness, who arrived fashionably late to the game before the drills. He wanted to break his balls a little bit, all in good fun.
Curry is a known Oakland Athletics fan, he plays for the Golden State Warriors, which is another team from the Bay area.
As soon as Curry arrived, he was ready for some slugs and he surprised almost everybody in attendance. As it turns out, Curry has a good stance and a great batting skill.
He hit almost every ball coming towards him, something not many can do.
When the time came for the pitch, both Steph and Ayesha threw at the same time. While hers was actually decent although slow, the Warriors point guard threw a rock to the side of the catcher. He actually coudl’ve hurt someone because he threw a strong pitch. After it all happened, Steph did try to justify his attempt by saying everybody was giving him a hard time of how terrible his pitch would be.
They were all right. But there’s no shame in trying, Stephen Curry can at least brag about hitting all the balls when he was batting. The Currys were good luck for the Athletics, they defated the Astros 4-2 but they seem far from the playoffs as we speak with a 38-63 record this season.
